In this brief article, we look at how to identify common emails originating from Azure, particularly in the context of various alerts and security issues. Recognizing these emails can simplify the process of finding communications that have come from Microsoft Azure.

Most communications from Azure regarding service or security issues originate from the Azure Service Health portal. As such, configuring Azure Service Health notifications is a crucial step to staying informed about these matters.

To help you with this, you can refer to the following resource: Stay informed about Azure security issues

Presently, there isn’t a single, comprehensive list of all the official email addresses that Azure might use for notifications. The platform may send out notifications from a variety of email addresses, each associated with a specific Azure feature or service — be it current or future.

However, the following common email addresses can serve as a starting point:

  • azure-noreply -at- microsoft.com (e.g., Azure Monitor alerts)
  • azsafety -at- microsoft.com
  • noreply -at- microsoft.com (e.g., Partner Center)
  • defendercloudnoreply -at- microsoft.com (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Cloud)
