Azure Quota REST API — comparing Microsoft.Quota vs Microsoft.Capacity

In this video, we look at the Azure Quota Service API and compare the new Microsoft.Quota (in public preview since Nov 2022) versus the Microsoft.Capacity providers from quota management perspective.

The blog posts from February 2021, “Automating quota management with Azure Quota REST API” and “Using the new Quota REST API”, describe the Microsoft.Capacity quota management API that supports Azure VM vCPU/cores and Azure Machine Learning Services.

The Azure Update from November 2022, Public preview: Use Azure Quota REST APIs to management service limits (quotas), talks about the new Azure Quota Service APIs in Microsoft.Quota resource provider. This new quota API supports Azure VMs (cores/vCPUs), Azure ML, Networking (Public IPs), Azure HPC Cache, and Azure Purview services.
